Higgins @ SDHS How do Bubbles Change?

Students focused on the changes in color and size the bubbles go through.  They quickly recognized a pattern and after discussion of the science began to express their understanding that CO2 was diffusing into the bubble and causing it to grow.  They made an observation that I had not been aware of, the bubble freezes just before popping.  They were able to name the stages of change and explain that this was a result of CO2 entering the bubble, stretching it, freezing it, and then breaking the film.
